Spring Youth Retreat: March 12-14, 2027. Registration will open in January 2027.

Twice a year, middle and high school students are invited to weekend retreats at La Foret, our outdoor ministry partner, in the Black Forest near Colorado Springs. Camps and retreats are an important opportunity for students to experience worship, belonging, and meaning-making in a radically different community setting with youth & leaders from across the Rocky Mountain Conference.

Retreats begin Friday evening with check-in beginning at 6 p.m. Friday night focuses on introducing the theme for the weekend, reviewing camp expectations, and getting to know cabin groups. Saturday is filled with programs and activities led by our RMC leaders, with time for rest and free time throughout the day, followed by cabin discussions, worship, and a large dance party in historic Ponderosa Lodge. Sunday morning wraps up the retreat, with everyone heading home by 11 a.m.

The La Foret experience can become a sacred tradition for our students – a place where they feel connected to the Divine and to a community that grounds them in something bigger than themselves. Students often share the sense of hope and renewal they experience as they return to “the real world.” At our RMC camps and retreats, we are deeply intentional about creating space for students to co-create and experience the world as it could be – the kin-dom of God – while they are at La Foret. Ultimately, we hope the experience fosters a deeper connection to God and to a beloved community that inspires everyone at camp to stay connected to their local church.
