La Foret Conference & Retreat Center is the outdoor ministry site for the Rocky Mountain Conference and is 20 minutes northeast of Colorado Springs in the Black Forest. Given by Alice Bemis Taylor to the Congregational Church in 1944, La Foret contains multiple historic buildings, two of which are on the National Register of Historic Places. Throughout the year, La Foret hosts a variety of events, including classes and speakers, as well as camp experiences for youth and families.

La Foret is also proud to announce its new program division, the Refuge at La Foret, which was born from a collaboration on outdoor ministry programs with the Rocky Mountain Conference of the United Church of Christ. Like the rest of La Foret, the Refuge maintains a special relationship with the Rocky Mountain Conference and also encompasses a broader vision. The internal programs of La Foret have been evolving since 2019, and we are excited for this new chapter in La Foret’s 80-year history.
