The theme this year is Preaching in an Age of Contempt, and presenters will offer both consolation and challenge for our particular historical moment. We live in a cultural moment defined by deepening contempt — contempt for institutions, for difference, for complexity, and too often for one another. In this climate, the call to preach the Gospel is not merely a liturgical act; it is a public and prophetic commitment that demands courage, craft, and community. Clergy and ministry leaders serve at the intersection of these pressures every week — guiding congregations that are themselves navigating grief, fracture, and uncertainty. The church needs spaces where its preachers can be renewed, challenged, and reminded toward what they were called.

This conference begins on Tuesday, September 15th at 6pm MT and will wrap up at Noon MT on September 17th. This event will be full of sermons, lectures, workshops, and worship, as well as time to connect and have fellowship with other conference attendees. Registration is $350 for in-person participation at Iliff, and $199 for online. CEU credit available. Please reserve your spot today before tickets are sold out and reach out to cti@iliff.edu with any questions.
