What is an Ambassador?

The Rocky Mountain Conference is more than an office or a staff—it is the relationships among our churches, clergy, and people across Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming. That’s why we’re experimenting with a new Conference Ambassador Team for people who love the wider church and would enjoy helping strengthen those connections. If you enjoy meeting new people, visiting different churches, and helping others experience the larger community of which they are a part, we’d love for you to consider becoming an RMC Conference Ambassador.

Ambassadors are members of RMC congregations who will occasionally visit other RMC congregations on Sunday mornings. Their role is to bring greetings from their own congregations and from Conference leadership, to share stories about what is happening across our shared ministry, and to help tell the story of why our Conference-wide community matters and what becomes possible when we are connected to one another. This is a great opportunity for folks to visit RMC churches that are new to them so that we can build and strengthen the bonds between individual congregations. If you want to feel more connected to other churches around the Conference, then help make it happen by being the connective tissue.

The best part? You don’t need to be a church expert to be an ambassador. We’re just looking for people who can bring their authentic selves into connection with other churches. To get started, you’ll get a brief training that includes talking points, stories, and resources so that you can show up ready to represent the Conference with warmth and authenticity.
