In 2024, the Pension Boards-UCC (PBUCC) partnered with the UCC’s National Ministries in Together for Tomorrow, a shared legacy campaign that makes FreeWill available to our members across the UCC. Our primary goal is to encourage legacy planning and help UCC members, pastors, and churches secure long-term financial stability for their congregations.

FreeWill is a no-cost, easy to use tool that allows you to create or update your will in minutes. It also allows you to leave one or more planned gifts to the UCC initiatives you care about, including National Ministries, your local church or conference, Ministerial Assistance like The Christmas Forever Fund, and any other nonprofits.

On Tuesday, July 28th, the UCC Pension Boards will host an online kick-off and orientation event, in which RMC members can get an introduction to the FreeWill platform and learn how to use it to get started on their will. The session will be led by Clayton Chamberlain, Partner Success Strategy Lead at FreeWill, and will include an overview of the FreeWill platform (including the Smart Giving Suite), the importance of planned giving and legacy giving, how to roll out FreeWill within your church community, and resources available to you.
