Annual Celebration 2025

Invitation to Annual Celebration 2025

Faithful Next Steps

In the opening paragraph of the Transition Period Proposal approved at last year’s Annual Meeting it reads:

“The Rocky Mountain Conference (RMC) of the UCC is at a critical juncture in our life together. Like all settings of the church we are living in an increasingly complex and rapidly changing world. At every turn, from the climate, to politics, to economy, to healthcare, to education, to community, to our own local churches, the systems we have long relied on are undergoing seismic shifts.”

Fast forward 9 months and the seismic shifts are quickly becoming greater than any we have seen in the modern age. The institutions that we have relied on for over two centuries are under threat of collapse. Our ecosystems are failing faster than we can predict. And now everyday it seems we have another loved one, friend, or acquaintance who is fearing for their safety and well being because of the target placed on their back. Yes the RMC is at a critical juncture in our life together, and so is our country and world.

We cannot underestimate what this moment will require of us, nor can we underestimate the gift that we, as the church, have the capacity to offer.

It is our hope as the Annual Celebration 2025 Planning Committee to create an event where we can both equip and resource one another for the essential work that we are now being called to do as well as help us as a conference take faithful next steps in this time of transition.

To help us make sense of this particular moment in which we now find ourselves, we are excited to welcome Cameron Trimble, CEO of Convergence, as our keynote speaker to share her strategic framework for congregations in this age of collapse. We are also excited to welcome Tracy Howe, the Team Leader and Minister for Faith Education, Innovation and Formation from the national setting to share her wisdom and experience in catalyzing and activating churches for mission.

Whether you’re looking for connection, action-oriented resources, or spiritual inspiration, this year’s annual celebration is an invitation to all who seek to be of use in this time of chaos and uncertainty. Let’s come together as the United Church of Christ in Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming, to be strategic and intentional about recognizing and offering our gifts into this moment. May the love and grace of God be experienced through us in all the places where we are planted.

Registration for Annual Celebration 2025 is now open! Please visit the RMC’s Zeffy page via this link to register today. Please note that registration for staying on-site at our venue hotel (the Embassy Suites in Loveland, CO) closes on May 20th.
