Annual Celebration* 2017: “Beloved Community. Believing Hope. Embodied Action.”

We are pleased to announce the theme of Annual Celebration* 2017:

“Beloved Community. Believing Hope. Embodied Action.”

During our time together in Cheyenne, WY (June 8-11, 2017), we will talk about our call—as individuals, as families, as congregations, as Associations, and as Conference. What does the world need right now? What do we need? What can we give?

The divisions in our country are real. For many of us, it’s been exhausting. Jesus asks us to live in a world of tension and to lift up our differences, embracing those with whom we disagree, but the world seems bent on making this as challenging as possible.

Thankfully, gracefully, we are in covenant with each other, and it’s not just lip-service. We are truly bound by a love of what we find in the Gospel, what we know to be true: We must live out our faith, giving everything we can to the least of these, whatever that means for each congregation. We have to lift each other up, and trust each others’ motivations and beliefs. We must remain at the table, and invite others still to join us in our prayerful discernment.

We are a beloved community in believing hope. At Annual Celebration* 2017, we will share and be inspired by stories and models of embodied action, so that we may further our own capacity for positive action and influence in this beautiful and broken world.

Come and be part of a joyous, prayerful, and loving community! Learn more about Annual Celebration* 2017 in Cheyenne, WY, and reserve your spot today!

I pray that with the eyes of your heart enlightened, you may know the hope to which God has called you, the riches of God’s glorious inheritance among the saints, and the immeasurable greatness of God’s power for us who believe, according to the working of God’s great power. That power is the same as the mighty strength.

— Ephesians 1:18-19
