Complete a Boundary Training at Annual Celebration 2025
Do you need to complete a Boundary Training to meet your standing requirements? Register for “Creating a Culture of Care” with Rev. Tara Barber! This training is happening in-person at UCC Loveland on Thursday, June 19th, and it will wrap up just in time for you to check-in at Annual Celebration. Please click this link to visit our Zeffy registration page. The deadline to register for this training is June 13th. To learn more about this training, please read the description below:
Boundaries are a both/and, reflecting what we need to set for ourselves and for our relationships. We’ll spend time looking at how we tend to ourselves and our ministries amidst the culture that surrounds us. How can we navigate power and engagement with care and intention? What might it look like to better cultivate humility, kindness, and self-compassion? Let’s talk about it together.
Rev. Tara Barber has been facilitating boundary trainings for fifteen years, always finding new ways to engage the topic. She serves as your Minister for Ministerial Excellence, Support and Accountability in the national setting of the United Church of Christ.
Learn More about Church Stewardship
Looking to learn more about stewardship and giving? Register for “Faithful Stewardship in Uncertain Times,” a stewardship training led by Rev. James Fouther Jr. and Rev. Melissa St. Clair.
When times feel uncertain—politically, economically, and socially—it can be easy to lament what we lack. Our sacred story shows us another way. Together, we have not only what we need to sustain the ministries to which God calls us; we also have something God’s world desperately needs: community, hope, joy, and the transforming power of the gospel in action.
Join us a day early for our 2025 Annual Celebration as Rev. James Fouther, Jr., Western Region Generosity Officer, and Rev. Melissa St. Clair, Center for Faith & Giving, guide participants through spiritual and practical exercises that will prepare you and your congregation for having more truthful, trusting, and transparent conversations about the resources you have for ministry. (Hint: Money isn’t our only currency!)
Together, we will:
- gain a deeper understanding of your own relationship to money and giving;
- learn more about tools and structures that cultivate generosity in our congregations; and
- share resources that are available to support you in this essential area of ministry.
For the cost of $25, you can bring as many representatives as you like from your congregation. Please click this link to access the Zeffy registration page for this event.
Shop for Good
First Congregational Church Loveland UCC invites you to visit our thrift store, Thrifts & Gifts, while you are in town for the Annual Conference Celebration.
Every week at Thrifts and Gifts we provide a valuable resource to the community and our church by providing gently used clothing, accessories, home goods and decorations at very reasonable prices.
Along with the meaningful relationships that are established between the volunteers who operate the shop and community members, all funds generated by Thrifts and Gifts go directly to the church’s operating budget in support of all the good work being done. Last year alone the store contributed over $12,000 to the budget. In addition, there was also almost $1,100 donated to the Unaccompanied Youth Program from the “tip jar” at the cash register.
We are open Fridays and Saturdays from 10AM to 3PM. Stop by to shop and meet the wonderful volunteers who are the cornerstone of this successful mission. We look forward to seeing you there! Please click this link to check out the Thrifts & Gifts flier.
