Urban Pastoral Ministry Program with City Mission Boston

City Mission Boston is happy to announce that we are accepting applications for our next cohort of residents in the Urban Pastoral Ministry Program, which will begin in January 2022. Our program is a two-year residency for recent seminary graduates who are called to ordained urban ministry with a focus on social justice.

In partnership with three Boston churches [Old South Church in Boston (UCC), Fourth Presbyterian Church in South Boston (PCUSA), and New Roots AME Church (AME)], residents gain hands-on experience in worship, administration, and outreach in an urban congregation, mentorship from experienced ministers, support from fellow residents, and opportunities for educational leadership experience in a faith-based nonprofit. We are accepting applications through September 15, 2021 for the January 2022 –December 2023 cohort. The application is available here.

The program requirements include; have, or will have, graduated with a M.Div. in the past 1-3 years; On ordination track in their denomination; Discerned a call to urban ministry; Commitment to a two-year residency program. Learn more here.
