Mountain View United Church (MVUC), Aurora CO, has the ability to begin hybrid worship outside in The Grove because of the generous support of a Rocky Mountain Conference “In the Mud” Community Engagement Grant. “During the pandemic folks from around the USA and as far as Kenya were able to join us for worship. We needed support to purchase cameras, microphones, and other items so that we are able to offer high quality hybrid worship once we returned to in-person worship so that our friends and members could continue worshipping with us,” reports Pastor Tracy Hughes, Lead Minister at MVUC.

“We have offered two in-person outdoor services in The Grove in June and July. It has been a renewing and refreshing experience for all of us to be able to gather safely together and continue to have folks join on Zoom. We’ve even figured out how to Prayers of People in this new hybrid format

MVUC looks forward to returning to the sanctuary in September 2021 to put all of the technical support they received from the In the Mud Grant to good use.
