We are commemorating 135 years of giving to this community—even in economic downturns, natural disasters, wars, epidemics, and organizational changes!
Although the buildings outline our history and help to identify our church, they are more important as a means to serve. We have provided a place for worship, Christian education, emergency assistance, and teen activities over the years, and we have served the community by offering meeting and office spaces for various nonprofits. Our outreach has supported community efforts such as CASA First Place, Methodist Church Sunday Suppers for the needy, Habitat for Humanity, Dolphin House, and various food/financial assistance programs. We hope to continue this service for years to come.
(Our celebration gathering has been delayed by COVID -19 restrictions until 2021.)
