Rev. Jeffrey Dodson to be Recognized for LGBTQ Advocacy

Rev. Jeffrey Dodson, Lead Pastor at First Congregational UCC in Grand Junction and tireless champion for social justice, is being recognized by One Colorado for his advocacy work for the LBGTQ community! From the church’s email regarding this wonderful news:

Rev. Jeffrey Dodson is one of four persons from the Western Slope to receive an Ally Award from One Colorado in recognition of his outstanding advocacy on behalf of members of the LGBTQ community!

You are cordially invited to join One Colorado Education Fund for the 2018 Western Slope Ally Awards on Friday, October 12, 2018, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. The event will take place at Colorado Mesa University’s University Center (1100 North Ave. in Grand Junction). It will be a cocktail reception on what is sure to be a lovely fall evening, and will culminate with an awards ceremony, accompanied by a cash bar and heavily stationed hors d’oeuvres.

Proceeds from this event will support the One Colorado Education Fund, and will be tax deductible. Tickets for the event are $40 and may be purchased online here.

Other award recipients include Senator Don Coram, Devin Pinkston and Cody Neal of PFLAG Grand Junction.
