Nov. 5: Regional Gathering of Latinx in the RMC

On Saturday, Nov. 5 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.,  there will be a Regional Gathering of Latinx¹ in the Rocky Mountain Conference held at Wash Park UCC in Denver. The meeting is the result of an electronic survey conducted earlier this year by the UCC’s Latinax Leadership Transition Team, in which Latinas and Latinos of the UCC indicated their desire to gather and share insights.

All those who identify as Latinx are encouraged to attend, even if they did not take the survey. In addition, while the meeting is in Denver, all those in the Conference who identify as Latino or Latina are cordially invited to attend via the web.

To attend the physical meeting in Denver or to arrange to participate via distance media, contact Dr. Nadyne Guzmán at nadyne.guzman@gmail.com.

¹Latinx (Lat-een-ex) is a gender neutral alternative to Latino, Latina, and/or Latin@. It is being used by a growing number of activists, journalists, scholars, and is rapidly gaining popularity among the general public. It is part of a linguistic revolution that aims to move beyond binaries and is inclusive of intersecting identities of Latin American descendants.
