Camps & Events

In the RMC, we feel that nurturing faith is of the utmost importance. Our Conference Camps & Events serve the Conference mission to Be Radically Connected. Our weekend retreats and summer camps are typically hosted at La Foret Conference & Retreat Center. This Holy Place fosters faith exploration, character development, self-confidence, creativity, and friendships. Qualities cultivated at camp help persons of faith change lives, build bridges, and transform the world. We hope to see you soon at an RMC Camp or Event!

PLEASE NOTE *RMC Summer Camps at La Foret will look different this year*

Like most summer camps all over the world, we will not be able to have RMC camps at La Foret in the same way as we are used to having this summer. The top priority of our camps is always the safety and well being of our campers and counselors. Because social distancing and mask-wearing are impractical and essentially impossible with a camp full of kids, we will not have our week-long camps at La Foret. We understand that this will be deeply disappointing to our campers and families.

BUT there is also good news! There WILL be camp… of a different kind. Our focus will shift from individual campers to whole families. Family groups (people who have been exposed to one another during the pandemic by living together) will be able to come to La Foret for a custom-built, individual family camp experience. Additionally, we will continue and expand our weekly Online Camper Content (which you can gain access to using this Google form). But that’s not all! Camp directors are working on “Camp in a Box” options for each of our usual RMC camps. More information is coming through the RMC and La Foret newsletters, including a link to register for a live Q&A session about RMC camps.

6th Grade to 12th Grade Camp is a special place where all those things that define us in our day-to-day lives become less important. Who we truly are is more important. Camp is a place where we get to be ourselves, and see others for who they really are too. When we do that, we build stronger relationships. The intentional community of camp is one of the most important things it provides. It's a glimpse of the world as it…
