New Leaders In the RMC

In a recent newsletter, we shared wonderful news of new ordinations (Logan Bennett; Wendy Kidd) and new arrivals (Rev. Nicole Lamarche to Community UCC—Boulder).

This new energy shows no sign of slowing any time soon! Since then, we’ve welcomed three (!) new pastors to three of our beloved congregations; their installation dates and details will be shared as they become available.

Read more about these fresh faces below!

Rev. Jill VanderWal’s arrival at Columbine United Church

After a deliberate and reflective search process, Columbine United Church in Littleton, CO recently called their new Associate Pastor! Rev. Jill VanderWal (above left) will travel to the Denver Metro area to begin serving the church on Monday, February 4. When asked to reflect on her call to Columbine, Jill had this to say:

From my first encounters with Columbine United Church, I could feel their warm spirit and commitment to generously welcoming all. The interview process confirmed for me a sense of connection and call to this community, and I look forward to the opportunity to join a gifted team leading Columbine into the future.

We wish her much joy and success with CUC! You can reach her at jill@columbinechurch.org.

Thandiwe Dale-Ferguson’s first few months with Loveland UCC

Last November 19, Thandiwe (pronounced tun-DEE-way) Dale-Ferguson (above middle) began serving as the new Minister for Loveland UCC.  She was preceded by their extraordinary interim Minister, Rev. Bob von Trebra.

Thandiwe’s ministry and career has varied, but it has always centered around showing love and compassion to others. To her ministry with Loveland UCC, she brings a passion for preaching, a heart for pastoral care, and a hunger for social justice—so that all people may experience the love of Christ. She is inclusive in her conversations, as well as in her understanding of God.

Please join us in welcoming Thandiwe to Loveland! She can be reached at thandiwe@lovelanducc.org.
