First Plymouth Congregational Church UCC in Denver collected 1,217 pairs of socks in the 2019 Socksgiving Sunday Campaign.

The Founders of the Sock It To Em Sock Campaign, Phillis Shimamoto and Sue Lee are members here, so we might have had a slight advantage in that First Plymouth Congregational Church is very familiar through them, of the tremendous need of socks for men, women, and children experiencing homelessness. First Plymouth Congregational Church is thrilled so many churches within the Rocky Mountain UCC Conference participated and together we all collected 7,740 pairs of socks that will be distributed throughout Wyoming, Utah, and Colorado. That’s 7,740 pairs of feet that will be blessed! Can we hear an “Amen?!”

First Plymouth Congregational UCC’s socks were given directly to the Sock It To Em Sock Campaign who will distribute them to local shelters, services and agencies. Congrats to all who participated and next year let’s break 10,000 pairs!
