SUMMARY:Racial Justice for Authorized Ministers & Lay Leaders – Renewal – Practicing Antiracism Together
DESCRIPTION:June 6th\, 2026: Racial Justice for Authorized Ministers & Lay Leaders – Renewal – Practicing Antiracism Together \n\n\n\nIn this 8-hour workshop\, participants and facilitators will co-create brave space and practice embodying anti-racism within ourselves and in ministry/church settings. Learning modalities and topics covered include: \n\nPre-assigned reading and reflection;\nRecognizing embodied feelings and utilizing somatic self-soothing;\nActive discussion and small group work\, with particular attention to one’s relationship to conflict and utilizing feedback and confrontation for growing in anti-racism;\nExploration of participants’ personal experiences and ministry settings\, utilizing concepts such as microaggression\, white supremacy culture\, power and authority;\nIdentifying tools and lessons to bring back to one’s ministry setting.\n\nAll participants should have participated in a racial justice training within the last 3 years\, whether the SNEUCC Foundations program or a similar offering from another organization. \nThis training includes required pre-work\, both reading and engaging in a response. Earlier offerings of this training included a dense history section in a primarily lecture format. Responding to participant feedback\, we are shifting that material to pre-reading so that we can focus training time on digesting this material and making it relevant to you and your ministry setting. Your attention to the pre-work will affect your and your colleagues’ learning\, so making adequate time for this work is appreciated. You will receive detailed instructions about this assignment about one month prior to the training date.  This email will come from transform@sneucc.org (Center for Transformational Leadership). \nThis is an interactive workshop that requires active participation throughout\, including through self-reflection and writing\, small group discussion\, and large group engagement.  Please be sure you are in a setting that allows for this.  Please note\, attendance and participation in the full session is required to receive a certificate. \nJune 6\, 2026\n8:30 am – 5:30 pm EST\nThis workshop will be hosted via Zoom. \nRegistration closes on June 1\, 2026 \nThe standard cost of this program is $230 for Authorized Ministers and $115 for Laity. Participants from within the Southern New England Conference UCC pay a discounted rate of $175 for Authorized Ministers and $89 for Laity made possible through Proportional Giving to Our Church’s Wider Mission\, individual donors\, and other gifts to the Southern New England Conference.  The rate for SNEUCC Members in Discernment is $59. \nYou may pay online at the completion of this registration form. If you are paying by check\, please contact Amanda Martin (MartinA@sneucc.org) and send payment to SNEUCC\, Attn. CTL\, 805 Old Main St.\, Rocky Hill CT 06067. All registration fees must be paid by close of registration. Refunds are not available once registration has closed.

SUMMARY:Voyager Faith & Science Camp
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the second year of Voyager Faith & Science Camp! At Voyager Camp\, youth are given the opportunity to be their truest selves and build a community of authenticity and support\, which is often elusive around the preteen years in school. \nSpirituality and science have for too long been seen as opposite ends of a spectrum\, when really they are more like two lenses through which we can view the mystery and majesty of the universe. Albert Einstein said that the more he studied the universe the more he believed in a higher power. When you really get into the coolest and most cutting edge science\, you can’t help but stand back in awe at the magic of it all! But don’t worry\, all the fun and exploration built through generations of camp will still be there! \nTrained counselors and staff will set the stage and hold space for a memorable week filled with laughter\, music\, reflection\, self-exploration\, and don’t forget the ropes course! Youth will form memories and friendships they’ll hold dear for the rest of their lives. \nTiered Pricing. Camperships available in any needed amount! Please visit this page to learn more and register.

SUMMARY:Music\, Art\, Drama\, and Dance (MADD) Camp
DESCRIPTION:Music\, Art\, Drama\, and Dance (MADD) Camp is an amazing week of intentional community and creativity. We believe that the arts and creative expression are incredible tools for experiencing and growing in our spirituality. ALL artistic skill-levels (really!) are present and welcome at MADD Camp. Along with engaging youth in intellectual faith conversations\, we attempt to get youth “out of their heads” and into experiencing God (or the Holy\, Divine\, or transcendent) through creativity\, nature\, friendships\, self-discovery\, games\, activities\, and LOTS of fun. We find these moments to be the most powerful in helping young people to develop a lifelong faith\, and a foundation of belief in themselves. \nLike all of our camps and retreats for youth\, MADD is an expansively welcoming and open environment. Trained staff help guide youth in engaging with their spirituality on their terms. The Refuge camps and retreats create a safe\, brave space where youth can ask questions\, explore their faith\, and connect more deeply to themselves\, each other\, the earth\, and the Holy- whatever that means to them. \nTiered Pricing. Camperships available in any needed amount! Please visit this page to learn more and register.

SUMMARY:RMC Community Camp @ La Foret
DESCRIPTION:For generations\, First Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ has hosted a Community Camp that people return to year after year—a space of connection\, rest\, play\, and belonging. This year\, something special is happening: that beloved tradition is opening its circle a little wider. \nIn partnership with La Foret\, Community Camp is expanding to welcome the broader Rocky Mountain Conference of the United Church of Christ. While the heart of the camp remains exactly the same—led by First Plymouth’s trusted leadership and rooted in decades of meaningful tradition—there is now space for new relationships to form across communities. \nIf you’ve never experienced Community Camp before\, imagine a few days where the pace softens and something deeper has room to emerge. Days are filled with simple joys: shared meals\, time outdoors\, creative activities\, conversations that matter\, and the kind of laughter that comes easily when people feel at home. Whether you come as a family\, with friends\, or on your own\, there is a place for you here. \nThis is not a camp you have to “perform” at. It’s a space to arrive as you are—to rest\, to play\, to reconnect\, to meet others\, and maybe even to rediscover something within yourself. \nAt La Foret\, we often talk about creating spaces where people can imagine and experience the world as it could be. Community Camp has been quietly doing that work for years. This summer\, we’re widening the circle. \nLearn more and register here: https://www.laforet.org/events/family/community-camp

But our Church records are more than just words on dusty paper; they are windows into the past that illuminate the history of a community and convey the mission of the church. Church records span the entire history of your church\, and no matter the age\, are important to be preserved. But knowing what to preserve can be daunting work\, especially if those with institutional knowledge have moved on. Join the Congregational Library & Archives’ archivists Billy McCarthy and Zachary Bodnar for a program focused on the first tangible steps a church can take to begin organizing their existing records and ensuring the long-term preservation of the records they produce today.

SUMMARY:Deescalation and Marshal Training
DESCRIPTION:Deescalation and Marshal Training\nWhen: Saturday\, August 8th\, 12:00 – 4:00 pm \nCost: FREE\, The Mutual Aid Sanctuary and Colorado Clergy Alliance are sponsoring this training. \nWho: This training is offered for clergy\, lay leaders\, and community members who want to attend and support CCA public actions; prepare for the Protect Our Vote campaign; and learn transferable skills for congregational\, community\, and public life. \nRegister here\, by Friday\, August 7\, at noon. \nLocation: South Broadway Christian Church\, 23 Lincoln St\, Denver. This is an in-person training only. \nFree parking is available in the church parking lot. We will be meeting in an air conditioned room. Drinks and snacks will be provided. This church is accessible and open and affirming to LGBTQ+ individuals and families. \nAbout the Training: \nCCA and MAS are committed to our collective safety\, the safety of those being targeted\, and the wider community. This requires us to work together to build a collective culture of and the skills for spiritually- and faith-engaged nonviolence\, peaceful resistance\, and deescalation. \nThis training offers up-to-date information about what public action looks like right now in Colorado and across the country\, and will include:\n \n\nSpiritually- and faith-engaged culture building focused on our practice of collective values\, nonviolence\, and public witness;\nReviewing common roles in direct action;\nProtester rights when interacting with law enforcement;\nSafety considerations;\nMarshaling strategies;\nDeescalation tools; and\nBasic health and safety at public actions.\n\n  \nThe role of marshals is to facilitate the planned CCA action while ensuring the health and safety of those involved. This is a serious and important role. When you are a marshal\, you will communicate between action leaders\, safety team members\, and participants; deescalate interactions with bystanders; and maintain the safety of the action. \nWhether you ultimately sign up to be a CCA Marshal\, we all need to learn how marshaling works in public actions to cocreate safe actions for ourselves and the wider community. \nTrainer: Z Williams (thy/them) is the director and co-founder of Bread and Roses Legal Center\, which exists to disrupt the harms the legal system causes people and their communities. They have a 28-year history as a grassroots community organizer working at the intersection of gender\, race\, class\, and the carceral legal system. At Bread and Roses\, Z has organized to pass pro-trans policies including Tiara’s Law\, the Kelly Loving Act\, and Legal Protections for the Dignity of Minors. They are also a co-founder of the Protest Defense Committee––a collective of legal workers\, attorneys\, and lawyers that fight political repression. In addition to organizing and anti-repression work\, Z is a long time street medic and community herbalist. Z is a graduate of the Sturm College of Law and a PhD student in Transformative Social Change at Saybrook University.
