Nurturing Justice (nurturingjustice.org), bringing together a diversity of people nationally who are engaged in Sacred and Courageous conversations about race
and racism, is offering several opportunities to engage in cross racial education and relationship building this fall and winter. The Nurturing Justice Fall Intensive
will satisfy Racial Justice/Anti-Racism Standing Requirements (6 hours) for Authorized Ministers in the Rocky Mountain Conference, UCC.
This fall, Nurturing Justice invites you to participate in a transformative two-day interactive intensive, each session lasting 3.5 hours. Through real dialogue, participants will delve into intersectional justice issues in America, examining both historical contexts and contemporary challenges. The program focuses on the intersections of racial justice, LGBTQ+ justice, environmental justice, and immigration justice.
Our approach includes an honest evaluation of the church’s role in fostering and sustaining injustices. Together, we will consider both personal and systemic impacts of injustice and explore practical ways to become advocates for a fairer world. The intensive is designed for clergy, lay leaders, church members, staff, and their families and friends.
Participants will engage with a variety of resources—music, films, videos, articles, and book excerpts—to guide and enrich discussion. All are welcome to join. This is a virtual (zoom) offering, you can join from anywhere!
The cost for the intensive is $350.00 per person. There’s no registration form; just email interest to kris@nurturingjustice.org
