Healthy Congregations: Equipping Leaders with Tools for Vitality
About this Event
*Please note you only need to take one Healthy Congregations class, not all three. Simply choose the date that works for your schedule.
Why: In this time of increased anxiety, complexity, and division, we don’t just need leadership, we need wise leadership. We need leaders who can calmly articulate what they they think and value and to act on that basis, while staying in an active relationship with those who disagree.
What: Healthy Congregations uses the insights of family systems theory to help church leaders become more effective stewards of their congregation’s health. This workshop helps both clergy and lay leaders expand their insight into how churches function as emotional systems as well as gain practical skills that empower healthy communication among the congregation.
Who: This workshop will benefit anyone who seeks to bring greater health to their congregation. Specifically, we encourage those who are a member of church councils, personnel teams, and pastoral relations committees. Ideally, churches will send teams of 4-8 to participate in the class together.
When: Feb 6, 8:30-4:30 (there are two other options for this workshop if this date doesn’t work: Mar. 6 and April 22)
Cost*: This series of workshops is provided in part by a grant. Each class would normally cost over $60, but we are able to provide it at a deep discount of $15 per person, or $50 max/per church.
Join us for this practical training event and learn how you can help prevent anxiety from becoming a toxic force in your congregation and help promote health and vitality.
*The subsidized cost is made possible because the RMC received a Conference Recovery Grant from the National UCC Setting.
