Celebrating the Installation of Rev. Dr. Nancy Niero

Salem UCC will celebrate its first covenantal minister, Rev. Dr. Nancy Niero, on September 20 in worship. Dr. Niero, who lives in the Pacific Northwest, and Salem UCC have created a Four-Way Covenant that celebrates Dr. Niero’s work as a racial justice theologian and cultural historian within the UCC Rocky Mountain Conference while living long distance. Dr. Niero will be preaching and the service theme is “listening to how God calls our name.” She was a hospice chaplain for 15 years, and currently volunteers as a hospital chaplain at her rural hospital on the Puget Sound in Washington.

Worship begins at 9:30am, with a potluck to follow. Salem UCC is located at 5300 E. Florida Ave., Denver.
