The Romance of Colorado Statehood: Conversations on the Indian Trauma and Tragedy of Colorado 150, Friday & Saturday, April 17 & 18 | In-person only
Iliff School of Theology is hosting conversations and consultations with American Indian organizers who will offer historical reflections on the 150th anniversary of Colorado statehood from an Indigenous experience that challenges the colonial romance of historical narratives. Sessions are Friday, April 17, 5:30-8:00 pm, and Saturday, April 18, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. The conference is free and includes meals for participants.
