As part of the James W. White Lecture Series, Bishop Yvette Flunder will visit First Congregational UCC in Colorado Springs April 29 – May 1. In particular, Bishop Flunder preaches a radically inclusive message, and is “aimed at getting everyone — gay, straight, black, white, immigrant and native — at the table.”
Bishop Flunder is a highly sought-after preacher and religious educator, speaking at divinity schools nationwide including those at Duke, Yale, Drew, and the New York Theological Seminary. She is also the author of Where the Edge Gathers: A Theology of Homiletic Radical Inclusion.
